Law enforcement officials in Montgomery County are searching Austin Allan Jones, 24, of Creston, in connection with a report of trespassing Monday on the 2900 block of 100th Street in Montgomery County.
According to a press release from the Montgomery County Sheriff, a call was placed at approximately 3:33 p.m. Monday to the communication center about individuals riding four wheelers on the caller’s property.
Jones is described as 6 feet tall and weighing approximately 185 pounds.
The press release states that a handgun, believed to belong to Jones, was recovered from the scene, and authorities believe he may still be armed.
An official at the Union County Law Enforcement Center said they have not received any new information and do not know if Jones is in the area.
Citizens are cautioned not to approach him and to call local law enforcement if they see him.
Two people, Joseph Earl Smith, 39, of Red Oak, and Paula Sue Blake, 48, of Essex, were arrested for possession of stolen property after the four wheelers were recovered and following an investigation into the incident.
