At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, Gibson Memorial Library in Creston will host educator Lori Vicker, who travels Iowa sharing her knowledge of the Orphan Train Movement in the U.S., circa 1854-1929.
Her presentation includes vintage clothing similar to that worn by westward orphans, and a bibliography that highlights non-fiction and historical fiction about orphan trains. This program is free and open to the public.
