Friday football roundup (week 5): Titans zoom past Panthers

Homecoming night in Creston was plenty hospitable to the Class 3A No. 1 Lewis Central Titans as they came out on top 56-7 Friday.

Lewis Central notched four touchdowns before Creston/O-M scored, with TCU commit Max Duggan accounting for three of them (two passing and one on the ground).

Creston/O-M's Eli Loudon did find Kylan Smallwood through the air on a contested pass that the senior receiver came down with for a 33-yard score to make it 28-7 with 7:20 left in the second quarter.

This did not nothing to deter LC’s potent offense as LC added two more scores — Duggan ran 47 yards for a touchdown and Duggan hit Joshua Simmons for one of his four receiving touchdowns — as the Titans took a 42-7 halftime lead.

Dane Norville ran for a score in the first half (61 yards) and Brady Miller added a rushing TD in the third quarter (13 yards), as Lewis Central coasted with a running clock late.

Eli Loudon unofficially was 8-of-20 passing for 107 yards and a touchdown.

The Panthers unofficially ran for 70 yards on the ground.

LC ran for 296 yards on the ground and threw for 233 in the air, both unofficial.
