Beryl Twyla (Randol) Booth, 93, of Afton died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018, at Afton Care Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Pearson Family Funeral Service and Cremation Center, 809 W. Montgomery St., in Creston. The Rev. Dwayne Henrichs will officiate. Visitation with family present will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Afton. Beryl Twyla (Randol) Booth, daughter of George Herbert Randol and Irene Ulabelle (Waugh) Randol, was born June 2, 1923, in Clarke County. Beryl attended Wildcat School. Later, Beryl graduated high school from American School of Correspondence, an accredited distance school in Illinois.
On Oct. 6, 1943, Beryl married Merrill Edwin Booth at the First United Methodist Church in Creston. They farmed in Pleasant Township in Union County most of their married life. Beryl was a homemaker. In 1993, the couple retired and moved to Creston. Merrill died in January 1994. Beryl remained at Regency Park in Creston until October 2013, when she went to reside at Afton Care Center in Afton.
Beryl is survived by her daughter Marjorie (William) Bailey of Afton; son Richard (Sue) Booth of Thayer; grandchildren, Julie Bailey (friend Blaine Kamp) of Callender, Edwin (Tracy) Booth of Hopeville, Kelie (James) Vasquez of Anthem, Arizona, Leslie (Randy) Popkes of Urbandale, Melissa (Scott) Maass of Urbandale, Cecelia (Zach) Loy of Murray and Katelyn Booth of Osceola; great-grandchildren, Tyler (McKenzie) Lawrence, Anthony (Rebecca) Lawrence, Levi Green, Diego Vasquez, Max Vasquez, Ashley (Tony) Mercer, Jessie (Larry) Fish, Gregory Booth (friend Shannon Belew), Amanda (Grae) Herold, Whitney Popkes, Ryan Popkes, Karzden Maass, Jaxson Maass, Bryson Fuller, Connor Loy and Adaline Loy; 11 great-great-grandchildren; niece Patti Booth (Vernon) Kelly; nephew Jack Booth; several great-nieces and -nephews and friend Alma Selsor.
Beryl was preceded in death by her parents, husband Merrill, father-in-law Edwin Booth, mother-in-law Pearl Bullock Booth, brother-in-law Bill Booth and sister-in-law Edythe Templeton Booth.
