The Studebaker Driver’s Club, Hawkeye Chapter would like to thank the Creston community and local businesses for supporting the Southwest Iowa Hot Air Balloon Days! Wow! For the members who braved the pre-dawn drive to Creston on Sunday morning, the view at the airport was great. Young and old alike had smiles the whole time. For the members who showed up later, they did not miss out on all the fun as Wally Miller and Bill Magers were kind enough to share their collections with us. By the time brunch was starting, we had 14 Studebakers in Creston and 33 members. Our president’s wife was ready for a balloon ride. So it would not surprise me if the club returns. Thanks again for a wonderful time.
