Kelly Lea Belt, 27, 503 W. Summit St., was charged with fifth-degree theft 1:45 a.m. today at 806 Laurel St.
According to a Creston Police report, Belt was caught trying to take items out of Wal-Mart without paying for them. The total of the items taken amounted to $14.04.
Belt was cited and released on a promise to appear.
