Nadine Dryer Ellston

Nadine Ann Dryer, 65, of Ellston died Monday, Sept. 10, 2018, at her home.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Osceola with visitation held from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., in Mount Ayr is assisting the family. Online condolences may be left at www.armstrongfh.com.

Nadine, daughter of Merlin and Gertrude (Lawrence) Clement, was born Sept. 13, 1952, in Massachusetts. Nadine moved to the Murray and Hopeville area as a child and went to Murray High School.

On June 17, 1989, Nadine married Robert Dryer at Spruce Creek Campground in Bellevue. For the last 15 years, they have made their home on a farm northeast of Ellston.

She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Osceola and volunteered at the food pantry and Cross Ministries.

Nadine is survived by her husband Bob Dryer of Ellston; children, Tonia (Mike) DeLong of Geneseo, Illinois, Dave (Mindy) DeLong of Stuart, Shane (Melissa) DeLong of Clinton, Lisa (Ryan) Offield of Ellston, Robert (Gretchen) Dryer of Maquoketa, Neil Gossman of Cedar Rapids and Heather Gossman of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Kayla Fuller, Megan Manning, Tiffany McVay, Melissa Edwards, Christa DeLong, Alex DeLong, Brandon DeLong, Dan DeLong, Gunner DeLong, David DeLong, Leo DeLong and Willow Dryer; great-grandchildren, Elijah Nimrick, Oliver Fuller, Maxwell Fuller and Aundrea, C.J. and Hunter Rubio; brothers, Jake Davison and Ken Davison; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Nadine was preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren, Lillian and Ryker; brothers, Joseph and Donald Davison; and sisters, Dorothy Sherman and Beverly Davison.
