Tonic Sol Fa coming to Corning

CORNING – Emmy and Grammy award winning a cappella Tonic Sol Fa (TSF) is returning 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, to Corning Opera House Cultural Center. The quartet has made national appearances on Newsweek, NBC’s Today Show, A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor, Iowa Public Television specials and more. They have shared the stage with Jeff Foxworthy, Lonestar, Montgomery Gentry, Neal McCoy, Jerry Springer and many others. Tonic Sol Fa travels the lower 48 states and performances more than 150 concerts a year.

TSF has established itself as one of the most in-demand vocal groups in the Midwest with more than 2 million CD sales, sold out tours and festivals. They were recently inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame alongside Prince. Shaun Johnson, lead vocalist, Greg Bannwarth, tenor and vocal percussionist and Jared Dove, bass, began at St. John’s University in Minnesota. Recently added to the group is percussionist/vocal percussionist, Theo Brown. Early in their career, there was much unspoken apprehension to a cappella acts and being told their name was anything but catchy. The group persevered, recording and manufacturing its own records and have earned their popularity through hard work. Tonic Sol Fa has a new 2018 special on IPTV, continues to tour, record and run their business conscientiously and differently. For more information, go to www.tonicsolfa.com.
