Wendy Sheeder, 57, of Greenfield died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, at Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.
Celebration of life services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3, at Cornerstone Fellowship Church in Greenfield with burial in Greenfield Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Underkofler officiated the service. Visitation with family present was from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, at Steen Funeral Home, 101 SE Fourth St., in Greenfield. Wendy Marie Sheeder, daughter of Harold and Maxine (Struble) Jobst, was born Sept. 28, 1960, in Dexter. Wendy was raised on a farm in Dexter, and graduated from Dexfield High School in 1979. After graduation, she worked for AT&T in Des Moines and later, at the ASCS office in Greenfield, Hanson Feed and Grain in Greenfield and for the last 15 years, owned and operated Grand Theater in Greenfield.
On Jan. 1, 1984, she married Kenneth Sheeder in Dexter.
Wendy is survived by her husband Kenneth Sheeder of Greenfield; children, Samantha (Josh) Herink of Ankeny, Eric (Emily) Sheeder of Menlo, Gregory (Tammy) Sheeder of Orient and Claires (Matt) Beaman of Lorimor; grandchildren, Heather Dixon, Jordan, Jenna and Brenna Shimer and Elijah and Nina Herink; sisters, Wilma (Burt) Benefiel of Mesa, Arizona, Bonnie (Keith) Jerke of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Peggy (Frank) Pittenger of East Bound Brook, New Jersey, and Amy (Paul) Hare of Hartwell, Georgia; brothers, Dwayne (Anne) Jobst of Tuscon, Arizona, and Roger (Mary Ann) Jobst of Royal; other relatives and friends.
Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenneth Jobst, sister Donna Wollenberg and sister-in-law Phyllis Jobst.
