High Lakes Outdoor Alliance and the Iowa DNR will be hosting a free youth dove hunt from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Three Mile Lake shooting range sunflower plot. Meet at the range building. Youth under 18 years old can attend. Reservations must be made by Aug. 30. The event is limited to 25 kids, first come first served.
Breakfast, ammunition and a few shotguns will be provided. The event includes free trapshooting for youth. Youth can bring their own shotguns, if they wish. There will be prizes for everyone participating.
