Afton's Allen to be a Spartan

Afton’s Casey Allen, a May 2018 graduate of East Union High School, has signed with the Southwestern Community College sports shooting program for their 2018-19 season. Allen was active in archery and trap shooting during high school, qualifying for state in both. In addition, she was a golf qualifier in the regional finals. In addition to athletics, Allen is a member of the National Honor Society, an FFA State Degree recipient, FFA chapter president, national FFA scholarship recipient, and received community service and citizenship awards. At SWCC, she received the Knock Scholarship and a TRIO Scholarship for the fall 2018 semester. Marc Roberg, SWCC sports shooting coach, said Allen has the potential to be a very good shooter at the collegiate level. “I have watched Casey shoot for a couple of years and have worked with her myself,” Roberg said. “She has developed some admirable shooting skills.”

Allen is the daughter of Shawn and Donna Allen of Afton.
