Green Valley State Park will be hosting two kayaking programs guided by naturalist Hannah Kendrick. These programs will take place the weekend of July 27 and 28.
Friday, July 27, will be a guided evening paddle. Everyone needs to bring their own kayak, lifejackets and paddle. Participants will meet at the beach at 7 p.m.
Saturday, July 28, will have a longer paddle. Participants again need to bring their own kayak, lifejackets and paddle, and should expect to paddle between 3 and 6 miles and have at least two possible portaging experiences. The paddle will be three miles one-way, six miles round-trip. If anyone wishes to only paddle one-way, shuttling for vehicles will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the park beach. Plan to take off from the beach at 9:30 a.m.
