Accident

No citations were issued following an accident 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on 190th Street in Afton.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, two vehicles pulled into a co-op parking lot off of Filmore Street. Both drivers were upset at each other and maybe driving too fast. Then, Cheyenne Lindsey White, 22, of St. Joseph, Missouri., saw it was a dead end and tried to turn her 2004 Chevrolet around. When she did, she turned into a 1991 Ford driven by Mackenzie Lynn McKinney, 19, of Afton, who was still driving straight.

Estimated damages are $4,000 to White’s vehicle and $2,000 to McKinney’s vehicle.
