Buena Vista University

STORM LAKE – Ryan Jensen of Bridgewater was recently honored at Buena Vista University’s (BVU) annual student recognition dinner. Jensen received an academic excellence award as a third year student. This academic excellence award is given to students on the Storm Lake campus whose cumulative GPA is 3.75 or greater, representing approximately the top 10 percent of each class.

Missouri State University

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – David Herr of Fontanelle graduated with graduate certificate in statistcs research design from Missouri State University during the May 18 commencement exercises at JQH Arena.

Herr was among 2,631 students who received degrees. A total of 2,005 bachelor’s degrees, 531 master’s degrees, 91 doctorate degrees and four specialist degrees were conferred.

Central College

PELLA – More than 320 students earned a spot on the spring 2018 dean’s list for Central College.

The honor is awarded to full-time students who achieve a 3.5 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale while taking 12 or more graded credit hours for the semester.

From the local area, the students included Matthew Dickinson of Greenfield, Ericka Abell of Cromwell, Brooke Hague of Creston, Hannah Marcum of Blockton and Monica Powers of Creston.
