Scull joins CNA newsroom

Sarah Scull has rejoined the Creston News Advertiser newsroom staff as staff reporter, covering the Greater Regional Medical Center Board of Directors and Southwestern Community College beats.

Scull, 39, has lived in Creston the past six years.

Scull previously worked for the Creston News Advertiser from 2012 to 2015 as a staff reporter. After leaving the CNA, Scull worked as an employment specialist at MATURA, and has been the owner of Quilts & Other Notions since 2016.

She has also taught writing in Adult Education at Southwestern Community College since January.

Scull is divorced and has two children, Sophia and Fletcher. In her spare time, she enjoys quilting and fishing.

“I’m really excited to be back,” Scull said. “I love being engaged with my community, talking to various people around town and seeing what’s going on in their lives and sharing that information.”

Scull started as staff reporter Monday.
