Adair County Sheriff

Robert Wayne Long, 43, of Greenfield, was charged with domestic assault choking/bodily injury, obstruction of emergency communication and first degree harassment 4:36 p.m. June 3 in Greenfield.

According to an Adair County Sheriff report, Long assaulted the victim by strangling her, stopping the flow of blood and oxygen, until she began to lose consciousness. When she attempted to call 911, he took her phone and threw it across the room, threatening her with harm if she called the police.

Long was being held on $5,000 cash or surety bond.

Jeffery Dewane Ott, 24, of Orient, was charged with driving while barred 7:35 p.m. June 3 in Greenfield.

Ott was released on $2,000 cash or surety bond.

Cody Leon Zimmerline, 26, was charged for possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and on two warrants for violation of probation, 4:42 p.m. June 5 in Adair.

Zimmerline was held without bond on the warrants and $300 cash only bond on possession and resisting charges.

Christopher James Kimmer, 35, of Oskaloosa, was charged on Adair County warrants for stalking and harassment 10:10 p.m. Wednesday at the Polk County Jail.

Kimmer was released on $4,000 cash or surety bond.

Luke Allan Mullen, 35, of Bedford, was charged for fugitive from justice and on a Pueblo County, Colorado, warrant for possession of an explosive or incendiary device 5:33 p.m. Friday in Orient.

Mullen was being held without bond.

Andrew Dean Nelson, 57, of Stuart, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense 2:26 a.m. Saturday in Stuart.

According to an Adair County Sheriff report, deputies were called for an assault at 508 S. Gaines St. in Stuart. They learned that Nelson had stolen a wallet from a patron at Johnie’s Tap, and the patron went to the address to confront Nelson resulting in a physical altercation. During processing for the assault, a small bag of methamphetamine and a small bag of marijuana was found in Nelson’s pocket.

Nelson was being held on $5,000 cash or surety bond.
