Historical Society to host annual tractor ride

The ninth annual Adair County Historical Society Heritage Tractor Ride will take place Wednesday, July 4.

The ride will begin with breakfast at 7 a.m. at Adair County Heritage Center on the west edge of Greenfield. Riders will leave at 8 a.m.

Breakfast is open to the public, with registered riders eating free.

The ride will run through the northern part of the county, through prime farmland that has kept Adair County and the world fed for generations, and will end with the Fontanelle Fourth of July “Freedom for Heroes” Parade, beginning at 11 a.m.

Cost for the ride is $10 per tractor, and riders can register the day of the ride. Tractors must be able to travel 10 miles per hour.
