Carl Lilly of Mount Ayr reported on Thursday that sometime in the last few months, someone broke into his property in Shannon City and took a Stihl weed eater, saddles, three Stihl chain saws and tools.
Estimated value of the loss was $2,700.

Peter Kund Larsen, 27, of Decatur City, was charged on a Union County warrant for probation violation 8:22 p.m. Friday at the Law Enforcement Center.
Larsen is being held on $2,000 bond.
