Creston/O-M golf closes season strong

Panthers head back to Adel Monday for regionals

ADEL – With an emphatic 52 stroke team victory the Creston/O-M girls golf team closed out its regular season with a decisive win over Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Monday.

Ashton Carter ended her regular season with one more medalist honor, shooting a meet-best 38 over the nine-hole contest.

Rylie Driskell followed suit, in the 1-2 punch that is becoming familiar to Panther golf fans, locking up runner-up honors with a 41.

Right on their heels were Sophie Groumoutis and Sydney Hartsock who shot a 45 and a 48, respectively.

“Our last regular meet went really well. The girls are right where we want them,” said head coach Jon Thomson. “... Playing with momentum into our regionals next week (on) Monday.”

UP NEXT – As stated by the Panther head coach, Creston/O-M heads to regionals Monday where it will be heading right back to Adel.
