Many people in the community have filled out uptown Creston surveys, but Southern Iowa Council of Governments (SICOG) says it is far short of the goal. SICOG would like at least 100 more responses. Youth and others are also invited to take the surveys, as opinions of all are needed. Survey responses are anonymous.

• Community survey: This is for anyone that has an opinion on uptown Creston and wants to give input on its future, go to www.surveymonkey.com/r/Uptown_Creston_Survey.
• Housing survey: For those that do live in uptown, may live in the uptown in the near future (next five years), owns uptown housing or occupiable space or may want to invest in uptown housing, go to www.surveymonkey.com/r/Uptown_Creston_Housing.
• Business survey: For those that own a business, may want to own a business in the uptown in the next five years or may want to invest in a building for someone to operate a business, go to www.surveymonkey.com/r/Uptown_Creston_Businesses.
Surveys are open through the end of April. Results will be shared with community leaders in a report and will help with a plan for the uptown’s future.
