Creston struggles with LC

Boys and girls soccer both fall 10-0

COUNCIL BLUFFS – Lewis Central gave the Creston boys all they could handle Tuesday, defeating the Panthers 10-0.

Two Titans players registered hat tricks as Creston couldn’t contain the speed and spacing of the Hawkeye 10 top foe.

“We couldn’t compete with their speed, they had good spacing and ran us all over the field – they’re the best team we’ve played by a long shot,” said head coach Darrell Frain.

Creston spent almost the entirety of the game fighting off LC offensive chances as Payton Pryor recorded 24 saves over the course of the contest.

Panther girls fall

A 10-0 first half quickly ended things between the Creston girls soccer team and Lewis Central Tuesday.

Madison McCoubrey made 18 saves over the course of the half before play was called.

UP NEXT – The Creston boys (5-3) looks to bounce back Saturday in Winterset against Oskaloosa (2-4). The Panther girls (0-5) will host Riverside (0-5) as they look for their first win.
