Many events are planned at Gibson Memorial Library for National Library Week April 8-14.
They include:
• At 6:30 p.m. Monday, young children (and parents) are encouraged to wear pajamas and join Children’s Librarian Sue Teutsch for a special bedtime-themed storytime.
• At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thayer-area native Laurel Bower will discuss her latest IPTV documentary, “George Washington Carver: An Uncommon Life.”
• At 2 p.m. Thursday, the library is hosting a tea for Creston native Joy Johnson, who will discuss her latest "Boob Girls"book.
• At noon Saturday, April 14, Jane Briley will provide beginners an introduction to genealogical research.
Listen to KSIB throughout the week for library trivia and chances to win a Gibson Memorial Library book bag, and come to the library all week for speed-dating with books.
