Rachel Marie Colburn, 28, was charged with domestic assault 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on the 1300 block of West Mills Street.
According to a Creston Police report, officers were called to 1303 W. Mills St. for a domestic assault. Upon arrival, officers spoke to several witnesses on the scene who said they saw Colburn strike the victim in the face several times leaving a red mark.
Colburn was being held in Adams County Jail awaiting bond hearing.

Jeffrey Schaefer, 26, of Orient, was charged on two Union County warrants for violation of probation 1:32 a.m. today at the Law Enforcement Center.

Joel Gross, 41, 300 N. Walnut St., was charged with public intoxication 2:14 a.m. today at the Law Enforcement Center.
According to a Creston Police report, at approximately 2 a.m. Gross entered the Law Enforcement Center to report that his car had been stolen. While speaking to officers, they observed symptoms of narcotic intoxication and asked him what he had taken. He said he had not been drinking and had not taken anything illegal and became confrontaional.
Gross was being held on $300 bond.

Colby Martin, 207 N. Cedar St., reported sometime around 10:30 p.m. someone attempted to break into his residence which caused damage to the front door 11:52 p.m. Tuesday.
The estimated damages were $300.
