On May 5, First National Bank (FNB) will host its fourth annual Hope Glows 5K run/walk at McKinley Park in Creston. Like in years past, all proceeds from the Glow Run will be donated to American Cancer Society for cancer research, prevention and support services.

“We want to see your color,” said Chantel Klejch, personal banker at FNB and chairperson for Relay for Life of Southwest Iowa. “We’ll have prizes for the top glowers and top finishers. This is a fun event that, in the past, has seen around 150 to 200 participants. We’d love to have even more than that supporting the cause this year.”

Registration is now open for the Glow Run. You can find the registration link on the First National Bank Facebook page or on the front page of the website at www.fnbcreston.com. You can also stop by any FNB location for a registration form.

Early bird registration is only $20. That reduced price will last until April 3, when the cost increases to $25. All participants will receive a T-shirt and some glow gear for the race. Light snacks, water and DJ entertainment will be provided after the race.

The Glow Run will begin around 7:30 p.m. near McKinley Lake. A photo booth will be provided by U.S. Cellular before and after the race. Sponsors for this event include Purdum Angus Farms, Hy-Vee, AgriVision, Shining Star DJ (Shellie Adams) and U.S. Cellular.
