Victor Robin Thatcher, 48, 814 W. Jefferson St., was charged with domestic abuse assault by strangulation 12:57 a.m. Wednesday at his residence.
According to a Creston Police report, officers were dispatched to 814 W. Jefferson St. for a domestic situation. Upon arrival, they were met outside by the victim who said Thatcher had assaulted her. She said he had shoved her around and put his hands around her neck trying to choke her. She pushed him off her, but he kept coming at her so she put her forearm on his neck until he passed out. She left the house and came outside until officers arrived. She also said she wasn’t sure how much alcohol he had to drink, but he was very intoxicated. After speaking with the victim, officers entered the residence and Thatcher came into the living room and immediately put his hand behind his back without being asked. He would not talk or say anything when talked to, but he was mumbling. As Thatcher was being transported to the Law Enforcement Center, he passed out. He was taken to processing and medics were called to assess him. He was transported to Greater Regional Medical Center. His blood-alcohol level was .512.
Thatcher was being held on $2,000 bond.

Wilmeth was being held on $18,000 bond.

Blade Fox, 23, 509 N. Poplar St., was charged on a Union County warrant for probation violation on the original charge of possession of a controlled substance 3 p.m. Wednesday on the 300 block of South Division Street.
He was released on $1,000 bond.

Paul Albrechtsen, 21, 312 N. Cherry St., was charged with driving while suspended 11:54 p.m. Wednesday on the corner of West New York and South Sumner Avenues.
Albrechtsen was being held on $300 bond.
