Creston archers turn in notable performances at state

The 2017-2018 Creston Archery Team went to state and turned in many strong performances on Saturday at the state meet in Des Moines.

CAT was led by Chloe Swedlund’s first place finish among fourth grade girls in a field of 60. She also finished fifth out of 155 elementary school girls.

Freshman Dakota Winslow came in at third place out of 35 freshman girls in the 3D target and was 14th out of 203 girls overall in the same event.

Fifth grader Savanna Davis took 23rd out of 95 fifth grade girls, Payton Davis had the 27th best score out of 95 fifth grade girls and Kylan Mower took 26th out of 109 girls in the seventh grade.

Coach Richard Siglin shared these results from the state competition.
