Come together to support the library

From Kay Raymond

Creston Friends of the Library

In a time when there seems to be so much division and strife in our country, there is one constant – our public library. Libraries are a free, safe and comfortable place to explore the information highway. The staff of Gibson Memorial Library is friendly, capable and eager to help with these endeavors.

Libraries are very important to the success of our community. Many people do not own a computer or have internet access. Over one-third of the visitors to our library are there to use the public computers and internet service.

Gibson Memorial Library is the only library in Union County. We need it now – more than ever – to be able to serve the community by hosting children’s programming and public meetings, and to house the library’s collection. Let’s pull together in 2018 to double it in size, and ensure its vitality for years to come!
