Reba Rychnovsky, 81, of Diagonal died Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Clearview Home in Clearfield.

A funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb 20, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mount Ayr with the Rev. David Polich officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Bohemian Cemetery. A Rosary was recited 4:30 p.m. Monday at Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., in Mount Ayr with visitation following from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic Church and United Church of Diagonal. Online condolences may be left at www.armstrongfh.com.

Reba, daughter of Verl and Velma (Crum) Watts, was born May 7, 1936, at Cabool, Missouri. Reba grew up near Cabool and attended the Cabool School District through the 10th grade. The family moved to the Diagonal area and she attended and graduated from Diagonal High School with the class of 1954. Following her graduation, she worked at Look magazine in Des Moines for a short time.

On Dec. 27, 1955, Reba married John Rychnovsky at the Catholic Church in Diagonal. After their marriage, they moved to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, where John was stationed in the Air Force. Upon his discharge they returned to Diagonal, where they later purchased their first farm.

Reba is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Rychnovsky of Diagonal; children, Patty (Kieran) Wilmes of Maryville, Missouri, Steve (Barb) Rychnovsky of Fairfax Station, Virginia, and Mary (Bob) Allee of Columbia, Missouri; grandchildren, Jessa Lynn Spainhower of San Diego, California, and Eric Travis Allee (Solange), Adam Robert Allee, Tyler John Allee, all from Columbia, Missouri; brother Dean (Nancy) Watts of Peoria, Illinois; sister-in-law Lenna Watts of Pekin, Illinois; and brother-in-law Lawrence Rychnovsky of Diagonal.

Reba was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dale Watts and close friend and sister-in-law Sue Rychnovsky.
