Ecumenical Lenten services continue Sunday

Area churches in Union and Taylor counties are joining together in each county again to host ecumenical Lenten services. The services will be held at a different host church each week, and each week the pastors from the churches participate in the service with a different pastor preaching the message.

The Union County worship services begin at 5 p.m. each Sunday with a light meal following. The service this Sunday will be “It’s God’s Plan from Beginning to End,” at Jerusalem Methodist Church, 1965 REA Road, in Creston with the Rev. Ken Halbur as guest speaker. All people are welcome to attend. Offerings will be split between MATURA Friendship Fund, Creston Area Food Pantry Inc. for personal care products and United Charitable Association.

Lenox Ministerial Association will hold their ecumenical Lenten services at 7 p.m. Sunday evenings. The service this week will be at Lenox United Presbyterian Church, 401 W. Michigan St., in Lenox with the Rev. Mike Shaffer giving the message.
