Union County 4-H holds awards day

The annual Union County 4-H Recognition Awards day was held 1 p.m. Jan. 14 in the Creston Community Middle School auditorium. The 2018 Union County Youth Council hosted the event, which gave the youth a chance to practice their public speaking, present awards to the chosen recipients and host an event.

This years’ award recipients are as follows.

2017 Union County Hall of Fame recipients – Jack and Mona Quee

First time record keepers – Brenna Cass, Chelsey Brumfield, Kade Weis and Brandon Brumfield

Membership pins: first year – Molly Gennaro, Jacob Driskill, Kade Weis, Chelsey Brumfield and Brenna Cass; second year – Avery Bunkofske, Audrey Young, Owen Riemenschneider, Kolbey Bailey, Hannah Woods and Hope Woods; third year – Emmet Long, Peyton Long, Riley Long, Chloe Larson, Keegan Bailey and Elizabeth Hadley; fourth year – Tyler Loudon and Kyla Cass; fifth year – Mikenna Cass and Mattie Riemenschneider; eighth year – Lauren Hadley
