Collin Bevins signs with the Cleveland Browns

Former Creston native and standout Northwest Missouri State defensive lineman Collin Bevins signed with the Cleveland Browns this afternoon.

The first-year pro signed on to the Browns reserve/futures list.

Bevin set his sights on the National Football League with the Arizona Cardinals after signing as an undrafted free agent, following the 2017 NFL draft. The former college All-American was released by the Cardinals in May.

Shortly after being released, Bevins announced his retirement from football on Instagram stating, "football has been a major part of my life, and it's time to move on."

The former Bearcat defensive lineman had 34 sacks in 52 career games at Northwest Missouri State.

Bevins was an all-state football player and state champion heavyweight wrestler while attending Creston High School. He was also a state qualifier in track in the 200-meter dash and shot put.
