7th grade A team

Creston 7th grade boys basketball just snuck out a 30-29 victory against Shenandoah Tuesday.

“(We) won a tough and sluggish “A” game,” said head coach Mike McCabe. “Shenandoah presented good size and ran a box-and-1 defense against us.”

Shenandoah’s defense wasn’t enough to slow Kyle Strider who scored 17 points for the Panthers.

“Not always easy to comprehend adjustments on the fly, but the kids stayed with it and made enough plays to pull out the win,” McCabe said.

Patrick Varner added eight more points for Creston in the victory.
