Bedford/Lenox second at home invite

LENOX — Saturday’s Lenox Invitational featured 11 teams, as the hosts, Bedford/Lenox, fared about as well as any.

Bedford/Lenox finished in second with 157 points, the lone program competitive with Lathrip (Missouri) with 193 points.

Nate Briggs (145), Drew Venteicher (152), Derek Venteicher (182), Brenden Christensen (195) and Chance Strough (220) all took first place in their classes.

East Union’s first place finishers were Cole Wimber (106) and Sherman Hayes (138).

Southwest Valley’s Teagan Lundquist came in first at 132 pounds and Dylan Dalton won the 160 pound class.

Creston/Orient-Macksburg’s JV squad finished sixth with 97 points, as three Panthers finished second in their classes.
