Kaylie Hudson of Red Oak and Jason Ahern of Red Oak were each charged by Adams County deputies after a traffic stop 12:32 a.m. Saturday in Adams County.

According to an Adams County Sheriff report, deputies observed a car pull into a Casey’s General Store parking lot after hours. Upon making contact with the individuals, deputies detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted. The driver of the vehicle, Hudson, was charged after deputies located three marijuana pipes and a methamphetamine pipe in her possession. A passenger in the vehicle, Ahern, was found to be in possession of a clear plastic baggie containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe. Deputies also located several prescription medications in the trunk not belonging to any of the occupants.

Timothy Michael Vandevender of Corning was charged with second-offense operating while intoxicated 5:21 a.m. Sunday in Adams County.

According to an Adams County Sheriff report, deputies were dispatched to a noise complaint near the intersection of 5th Street and Loomis Avenue in Corning. Upon further investigation, Vandevender was charged and cited for open container — driver.

Richard Alan Perez of Carter Lake was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia 8:09 p.m. Sunday in Adams County.

According to an Adams County Sheriff report, deputies were informed of a suspicious vehicle at Casey’s General Store in Corning. Upon further investigation, Perez was charged after deputies recovered two methamphetamine pipes in the vehicle.
