Douglas Busch, 94, of Winterset died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at home.
Visitation with family present was from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at Ochiltree Funeral Service, 1823 N. John Wayne Drive, in Winterset. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the funeral home and burial followed in Moon Cemetery, south of Macksburg. Memorials may be directed to the family. Douglas Andrew Busch, son of Ernest Andrew and Dulcie Velma (Moore) Busch, was born Feb. 19, 1923, at home in Lorimor. He graduated from Macksburg High School in 1941. Douglas served in the Army for two years during World War II.
On Aug. 23, 1948, he married JoAnn Lull. Douglas was a lifelong farmer in Madison County.
Douglas was a member of American Legion in Macksburg, Williamson and Winterset, VFW in Creston and Winterset and the Masonic Lodge in Winterset. He served for six years as a member of Orient-Macksburg Community School Board.
Douglas is survived by his children, Marsha Underwood of Villisca, Craig (Linda) Busch of Winterset and Kim (Steve) Watson of Grimes; grandchildren, Todd (Lynette) Busch, Scott (Kelly) Busch, Curtis (Kamy) Busch, Cale (Kaitlin) Antisdel, Austin (Nicole) Antisdel and Clay Antisdel; great-grandchildren, Donald (Amanda) Fisher, Dakota (Costa Ortiz) Busch, Paige Busch, Jenna Busch, Tyler Busch, Addison Busch and Kaleb Herbst; great-great-grandchildren, Adelyn Fisher and Alayna Ortiz; special friend, Betty Harper of Winterset and numerous relatives and friends.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Dulcie Busch; wife JoAnn Busch; brothers and sisters.
