Library news

The following titles and events are at the Gibson Memorial Library, located at 200 W. Howard St., in Creston. Regular library hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The library is closed on Sunday. Free adult programs and games

“Beginning drawing” continues from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the library. Bring your drawing supplies and join in. Open to high school students and adults. Participants will learn the basics of drawing and be surprised at what can be created. Instructor is Theresa Arts.

Coming soon from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, is “Decorative Boxes” taught by Theresa Foote. Participants are to bring an empty Pop-Tart box and scissors. All will learn to turn a simple box into a beautiful, one-of-kind gift box.

Don’t forget the trivia game and word search sheets that help improve your mind while challenging yourself. They are available at the display table upstairs.
