Middle school runners finish at H-10 meet

CLARINDA — The Creston Community Middle School cross country teams completed their season Thursday at the Hawkeye 10 meet at Clarinda High School.

The girls team placed eighth with 187 points. Out of 89 competitors, Emma Pantini led the Panthers in 23rd place and Kate Woods was 30th. Riley DeGonia was next in 33rd place.

In the boys race, Justin Parsons led Creston in 46th place among 92 runners. Isaac Shields was 64th. Creston did not have enough runners to place as a team.

Individual winners in the 3K race (1.86 miles) were Mayson Hartley of Clarinda in the girls race in 11:51.06 and Baylor Bergren Roms of Red Oak in the boys race in 10:35.18.
