Melinda Anne Starkey, 43, 2229 High & Dry Rd., was charged on a warrant for second-degree theft 3 p.m. Monday at the Law Enforcement Center.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, sometime after a protective order was served on a male individual on behalf of Starkey, and the male individual was removed from the property, Starkey sold a camo 1987 Ford F150 without permission from this male individual. At no time did the male individual give Starkey the rights to sell or dispose of the truck. The value of the truck was estimated at $1,000.

Starkey was being held in the Ringgold County Jail for Union County on $5,000 bond.

Katie Loraine Campbell, 35, of Lorimor was charged on a warrant for second-degree theft 7:15 p.m. Monday at the Clarke County Jail.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, on June 5, June 6 and June 20, Campbell committed theft at Wal-Mart by placing several items in carts throughout the store, leaving the store and pushing the carts out with the items not paid for, all of which was observed on security footage provided by Wal-Mart. The estimated value between all three incident dates totalled $2,949.14.

Campbell was transferred from the Clarke County Jail to the Ringgold County Jail on behalf of Union County. She was being held on $5,000 bond.
