Mary Florence McKay, 85, of Corning died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at Greater Regional Hospice House in Creston.

Services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at Pearson Family Funeral Service and Cremation Center in Corning, with Rev. Andrew Bardole officiating. A private family inurnment will occur at Prairie Rose Cemetery at a future date. Memorials may be directed to the Corning United Methodist Church. Pearson Family Funeral Service and Cremation Center was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.pearsonfuneralhomes.com.

Mary Florence McKay, daughter of Ralph Gerald and Erma Vilena (Lewis) Huntington, was born Feb. 12, 1932, in rural Taylor County. Mary graduated from Corning High School with the class of 1951.

On June 24, 1951, Mary married D. Lester McKay at Fairview Church in rural Taylor County. Mary was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Mary is survived by her husband of 66 years Mac McKay; children, Nancy (Dave) Current of Newport News, Virginia, Roy (Debbie) McKay of Ames, Martha (Dixon) Wood of Urbandale, Donna Mullen (fiance Joe Peterson) of Bedford; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Glen Huntington of Storm Lake, Reldon Huntington of Lenox; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Burdette Huntington and Lewis Huntington; sisters-in-law, Claudia Huntington, Berniece (Boswell) Huntington, Dorothy Huntington and Jean Huntington.
