Darian Scott Stone, 20, of Davenport was cited for having no valid drivers license after an accident 11:17 p.m. Monday on Spillway Road.
According to a Creston Police report, Stone was driving his 2004 Ford north around McKinley Lake on Spillway Road when, due to the investigation made on scene and the presence of fresh skid marks in the loose gravel, officers determined Stone was exceeding the speed limit and lost control of his vehicle. This caused the vehicle to ultimately end up in the lake. Both Stone and a passenger escaped the vehicle unharmed.
Estimated damage was $5,000 to Stone’s vehicle.
