Caleb Benjamin Bensky Fredrickson, 28, of Lorimor was charged with fifth-degree theft and third- or subsequent-offense possession of a controlled substance 2:26 p.m. Monday at 600 Sheldon St.
According to a Creston Police report, Fredrickson concealed Hy-Vee merchandise in a Wal-Mart bag and tried to leave Hy-Vee without making any attempt to pay for it. Once he was brought to the Law Enforcement Center, two Clonazepam were discovered in his bag.
Fredrickson was being held on $5,300 bond.
