No citations were issued after an accident 7:46 a.m. Monday on Highway 34.
According to a Union County Sheriff report, Katheryn Ann Allison, 15, of Creston was traveling east on Highway 34 in a 2000 Pontiac when she drove her vehicle off the roadway on the south side of the highway, over-corrected and entered the north ditch.
Allison and passenger Randall Richard-Joseph Pingree, 17, of Creston, were each transported to Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston by ambulance. Their status is currently unknown. Front-facing airbags were deployed for each injured person.
Damage estimate to Allison’s vehicle was $5,000.
