Skylar Rose Suzanne Wambold, 19, of Ames, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia 11:42 p.m. Sunday in Adams County.

According to an Adams County Sheriff report, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Wambold at the intersection of Highway 25 and 240th Street for traveling 70 mph in a 55 mph zone and for having an insufficient number of headlamps. While speaking with Wambold, deputies detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and numerous items of drug paraphernalia were recovered. Deputies also located a small amount of marijuana and several rolled marijuana joints. A present juvenile was also cited for possession of a controlled substance and possession for drug paraphernalia. Additional charges are pending.

Wambold was being held on $1,300 bond.
