Vincent Bradley, 32, of Lorimor was charged on a Madison County warrant for probation violation on the original charge of driving while barred 11:36 a.m. Friday at 119 N. Elm St.

Bradley was released into the custody of Madison County.

Jesse Maldonado, 44 of Marshalltown was charged with second-offense operation while intoxicated 1:18 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Howard and Elm Streets.

According to a Creston police report, Maldonado was operating a vehicle that was stopped for defective equipment and a traffic offense. During the stop, Maldonado showed significant signs of impairment. He admitted to consuming about eight beers and admitted he should not have been driving. Maldonado refused field sobriety testing and refused a PBT test. He was placed under arrest and later refused a data master test. Maldonado has one prior OWI offense within the past 12 years in the state of Texas.

Maldonado was released on $2,000 bond.

Aaron Darrah, 19, of Redding was charged with public intoxication 7:48 p.m. Saturday at 1503 N. Lincoln St.

According to a Creston police report, officers were dispatched to a parking lot in the 1500 block of North Lincoln Street for a report of a male subject who was drinking in the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Darrah and observed that he had bloodshot watery eyes and an odor of alcoholic beverage. Darrah reportedly made admissions to drinking Jack Daniels whiskey and stated that he had smashed the bottle and threw it in the bushes and trees near the parking lot. Darrah consented to a PBT, which indicated an alcohol BAC over the .08 legal level.

Darrah was released on a $300 bond.

Joel A. Weeks, 50, 608 Maple St. was charged with driving while barred 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Abell and Ringgold Streets.

According to a Creston police report, Weeks was observed driving a four-wheeler on Ringgold Street with a barred driver’s license. Weeks was arrested for driving while barred and transported to the Union County Law Enforcement Center.

Weeks was released on $2,000 bond.

Dawn Robbins, 46, of Des Moines was charged with third-offense possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia and unlawful possession of prescription medications 2:39 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Walnut and Taylor Streets.

According to a Creston police report, Robins was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a traffic stop at the intersection of Walnut and Taylor Streets and was found to be in possession of marijuana. She was also found in possession of two prescribed pills and did not possess a prescription for the pills. Robins was also found in possession of two glass methamphetamine smoking devices. Officers discovered she had previously been convicted of drug-related offenses twice before.

Robbins was being held on $6,000 bond.

Michael Miller, 54, 608 W. Adams St. was charged on three counts of possession of a controlled substance and driving while suspended 2:50 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Walnut and Taylor Streets.

According to a Creston police report, Miller was driving a vehicle stopped for expired license plates. Miller admitted to having controlled substances in the vehicle. Methamphetamine and pipes were discovered in the vehicle. Miller was also found in possession of marijuana and 15 phenobarbital pills without a valid prescription. Officers noted Miller had previously been convicted of two drug-related offenses.

Miller was being held on $15,000 bond.
