New 4-H member/parent meeting scheduled for Adair County

GREENFIELD – A new member/parent meeting is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, in the Greenfield City Hall meeting room.

This meeting is for new members (both community club members fourth-12th grades; and Clover Kids (kindergarten-third grades) and their parents and current members and parents (first or second year). The event will involve shopping in our 4-H stores. Shop for information about 4-H enrollment (4honline), project areas, record keeping and communication opportunities. Have fun with hands-on activities and enjoy refreshments.

Youth and their parents planning to join 4-H this year are encouraged to attend the meeting. This is an event planned to welcome youth to the Adair County 4-H program and answer questions of members and potential members.

Adair County 4-H is now accepting enrollments for the 2017-18 project year. All area youth in the fourth-12th grades can enroll. In addition to livestock and animal projects, 4-H offers opportunities in areas such as photography, foods, woodworking and leadership.
