Creston Community High School administrators have confirmed steps have been taken to discipline students after a photo circulated on social media this morning.

The photo shows five students wearing white Ku Klux Klan hoods and holding a Confederate flag in front of a burning cross. One student is shown holding a gun in the photo.

CCHS Assistant Principal Jeff Bevins confirmed the school investigated the photo.

“We got the picture this morning and it started right then,” Bevins said. “It is a student discipline issue, so no comment as far as what has been done with the students. We have taken action already.”

More information will be published as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Sources have confirmed the students involved are members of the Creston/O-M football team.
