Adams County Sheriff

Trevor Gray of Blanchard was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Adams County.

According to an Adams County Sheriff report, deputies conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 34 and Fig Avenue on a vehicle operated by Gray for excessive speeding, towing an unsafe vehicle and improper rear lamps. Upon establishing probable cause, a search of Gray’s vehicle was conducted resulting in the recovery of numerous bags of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a digital scale. Gray was then charged.

Brandon Logan Jr., 18, of Clarinda was charged with operating while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia 10:11 p.m. Tuesday in Adams County.

According to an Adams County Sheriff report, deputies observed a vehicle on the shoulder near Highway 34 and Notchwood Avenue with hazard lights on. Deputies approached the driver, Logan Jr., and detected the odor of alcohol and marijuana coming from his vehicle. Deputies also observed pieces of marijuana on Logan’s pants and a marijuana grinder in plain view. Logan Jr. consented to sobriety tests, and failed. Logan Jr. was then charged.

Holly Shumaker, of Roscoe, Illinois, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and interference with official acts 12:44 a.m. today in Adams County.

According to an Adams County Sheriff report, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Shumaker. Shumaker was traveling north on Sycamore Avenue near 240th Street when deputies observed her traveling at 82 mph in a 55 mph zone. As deputies approached the vehicle, a strong odor of marijuana was detected. Shumaker handed deputies a small bag containing marijuana when asked about the odor. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of marijuana, two marijuana grinders, two smoking devices and rolling papers. Shumaker was then charged.
