Dalton Thadeus Barber, 26, of Lorimor was charged on a Union County warrant for two counts of second-degree criminal mischief 2 p.m. Sunday at 501 N. Douglas St. in Afton.

According to a Union County Sheriff report, Barber was seen breaking the windows out on two vehicles sitting in the driveway of a residence. The owner of the residence also received numerous phone calls from Barber that were overheard by another party who owned one of the vehicles that was damaged.

Barber was released on $10,000 bond.

Cindy Harper of Lorimor reported that her house had been broken into, a screen window broken and $40 in cash taken between 5:54 p.m. and 7:54 p.m. August 24.

Damage and loss estimate was $90.

Kelly Konkler of Shannon City reported his debit card was used without his permission during the month of August.

Loss estimate was $1,000.

Doug Bierle of Creston reported that a Samsung television and ice auger had been taken from property on Cromwell Road between August 24 and Friday.

Loss estimate was $4,250.
