Kane Farlow, 19, 403 N. Vine St., was charged on a Department of Corrections warrant for violation of parole and on a Union County warrant for second-degree theft and eluding 11:36 a.m. Wednesday at his residence.

According to a Creston Police report, Farlow was sitting in the Wal-Mart parking lot in a reported stolen vehicle. Officers went to pull up on the vehicle and Farlow took off. Officers turned on lights and Farlow did not stop. Farlow was driving 70 mph on South Sumner Avenue.

Farlow was being held on no bond.

Carrie Porter, 41, 210 N. Oak St. Apt. 2, was charged with second-offense public intoxication 1:08 a.m. today at the intersection of New York Avenue and West Jefferson Street.

According to a Creston Police report, officers came into contact with Porter due to her trying to stand in front of the BNSF trains on New York Avenue. Porter appeared intoxicated, consented to a sobriety test and provided a sample above the .08 level.

Porter was being held in Ringgold County Jail for Union County on $1,000 bond.
