5 minutes with Lesha Clark, Clubhouse manager at Crestmoor Golf Club

HOMETOWN: I was born and bred here. Lois Monday was my mom.

AGE: I'm 55.

WHAT HAVE YOU ENJOYED ABOUT YOUR JOB AS CLUBHOUSE MANAGER? I met all kinds of different people. Any job you go to, you have to take the good with the bad. They have been very supportive, they have been very kind.

WHAT DID YOU DO BEFORE? I'm a nurse. It was time for a change. I had been in health care since I was 19 years old and it was an opportunity and I thought, "Check it out and see," and 11 years later, here I stand. I started in November of 2006.

WHAT LED YOU TO CRESTMOOR? I started as a food services director at the nursing home and this job just came open. I didn't think I'd get it to start.

WHAT HAVE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE CLUBHOUSE BEEN? I've did the hiring, the cooking and overall management of the clubhouse.

WHAT MAKES THE GOLFERS AND THE PEOPLE AT THE CLUBHOUSE MEMORABLE? Each one of them are different. I've learned a lot. I've come across some great teachers.

HOW EXCITED ARE YOU FOR YOUR NEW JOB? I'm excited. It's Mondays through Friday, no weekends, no holidays. I'm 55 years old. I'm a grandparent. I'm used to working all the time and this is going to be really new for me.

WILL BEING AROUND KIDS GIVE YOU MORE ENERGY IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY LIFE?  Oh, they can keep you poppin', there's no doubt about that.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO IN GETTING TO KNOW THE PEOPLE AT ST. MALACHY? Those smiling kids, their excitement. They ask lots and lots of questions about lots and lots of different things and their favorite question is: "Why?"
